A wind of change blows from Africa. It is not the wind we are accustomed to. This wind blows from the expanse of an ancient history, of old religiones, myths, centuries old cultural traditions and arts, but also from a deep reservoir full of vitality, high spirits and warm-heartedness, humanity, passion and ferocity. Magic entanglements and superstition, harshness and gentleness, kindness and hatred are however also part of this change.   
 
The works of  the artists demonstrate the symbiosis between old and new, between  African traditions and the achievements of modern  Europe. These works demonstrate the new  African self-confidence, the intellectual independence and the break-through to a new personality.
